Consulting project for 2021 kicks off

Participants included Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai, General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex Choi Joo Ho and leaders of a number of related departments and branches.

The project, as part of the memorandum of understanding among Bac Ninh province, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Samsung on the program of consulting improvement and business support,  will be conducted at two enterprises namely Hanpo Joint Stock Company Vina and Prosperity Trading and Production Company Limited for this time,

During the three month duration of the project, South Korean experts will conduct surveys, evaluate businesses and directly consult and co-operate to improve production process and standards in the supply of products and components. This will strengthen the capacity of provincial enterprises to participate in the component supply chain of Samsung.

Through improving basic competitiveness, General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex Choi Joo Ho hoped that Vietnamese enterprises will be enabled to participate in the supply chain of Samsung and the entire global supply network. He also believed that with this direction and supervision, Vietnamese businesses will maintain and develop with improved results after the consultation process.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai affirmed the local businesses’ gradual improvement in the production process, capacity as well as product quality towards the deep participation in the global value chain after Samsung's business improvement and support consulting program started one year ago.

Khai pointed out that in order to continue to maintain and promote socio-economic development, one of the most important things is to form and develop links between FDI enterprises and domestic enterprises. Therefore, he urged for Samsung’s continued support in improving consulting activities for domestic enterprises to help businesses improve productivity, quality, and competitiveness and to have the ability to expand production, attach more deeply into the global supply chain. On the other hand, the Department of Industry and Trade would promote its role to enable local businesses eligible for joining the supply chain of Samsung Vietnam, he said.

After the ceremony, the provincial leaders and Samsung Vietnam witnessed the signing among the Department of Industry and Trade, Samsung Vietnam Sales Center and HanpoVina Joint Stock Company, ThinhVuong Trading and Production Company Limited.
