Delegation of provincial leaders offers incense at Southern Department’s Central Base
(BNP) - During the working program in Tay Ninh province, on October 26, the delegation of Bac Ninh province led by Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies, offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the North Tay Ninh Base in Tan Lap commune, Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province.

Joining the delegation were Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the PPC, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; members of the PPC’s Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People’s Council and People’s Committee; leaders of the provincial departments, branches and sectors as well as the female cadres under the management of the PPC’s Standing Committee.

Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan and the delegation respectfully offered incense and flowers, and spent a moment of silence to express their gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs and the senior leaders, cadres and soldiers of the Central Office for South Region who devoted and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

North Tay Ninh Base was the headquarters of the Southern revolution for a long time and directly directed and led the Southern revolution until the day the South was completely liberated. The relic not only has special value in educating revolutionary historical traditions for cadres, party members and people, but is also an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

With its great value and significance, on May 10, 2012, the Prime Minister decided to rank the Southern Department’s Central Base as a Special National Relic. Currently, the relic has been invested in and restored to its original state, including 3 functional sub-areas: the site of the relic, the memorial site and the nature - tourism landscape reserve.
