Export turnover of the group of computers and its components increases by 74% over the same period

(BNP) - Foreign trade activities in February in the province achieved good growth, due to some FDI enterprises imported and exported raw materials and components to serve manufacturing new products.

Total export turnover in February 2019 was estimated at USD 2,723.5 million, up 28.1% over the previous month and up 21.1% year-on-year. In particular, the FDI sector accounts for 99%, increasing by 28.1% and 21.3%. Regarding the commodity, the group of phones and its components reached USD 2.208 million, increasing by 34.9% and 15.4%; while the group of computers and its components climbed by 5.3% and 74%.

Total import turnover was estimated at USD 2,160.8 million, up 13.9% over the previous month and 39.2% year-on-year. FDI sector reached USD 2,138.3 million, accounting for 99%, increasing by 14.2% and 39.3%.

For the first 2 months of 2019, total export turnover reached USD 4,850.2 million, down 4.2% compared to the same period of 2018; while import turnover reached 4,057.3 million, up 6.8%.
