Hoa Dinh Temple
(BNP) - Hoa Dinh Temple, Hoa Dinh quarter, Vo Cuong ward, Bac Ninh city, was built a long time ago. It has been restored and embellished on a large scale through the dynasties, especially during the Nguyen Dynasty, under the reign of King Tu Duc. Currently, on the first sentence of the Tien Te building (Front Ceremonial Hall), there is a line of Chinese characters engraved with the year of the temple's restoration, "Tu Duc Nguyen Nien." During the resistance war against the French, the temple was burned down. In 2016, local people completely restored the temple with its traditional architectural appearance.
The main gate of Hoa Dinh temple is built in the style of four pillars.
Hoa Dinh Temple worships the tutelary god, Do Thong Le Phung Hieu, and two famous generals of the Ly Dynasty who helped Ly Thai Tong ascend the throne and defeat the Champa invaders, Le Ca and Le Hai.
Front Ceremonial Hall has 5 compartments.
Le Phung Hieu was born on January 6, Nham Ngo year (982). He lost his parents at a young age and was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Le Thua. From a young age, Le Phung Hieu showed his intelligence and was proficient in martial arts. Le Ca and Le Hai were twin sons of Mr. and Mrs. Le Thua, born on February 6 of the Giap Thin year. All three of them were famous generals under King Ly Thai To and were highly regarded by the king.
The roof ridge is embossed with two dragons facing the moon.

Currently, Hoa Dinh Temple has an architecture of Chinese “Tam” letter. The main gate is built in the style of four pillars; the Front Ceremonial Hall has 5 compartments; the Emperor’s Harem has 03 compartments.

Typical artifacts include: 02 stone steles from the Nguyen Dynasty (Thanh Thai 13–1901) and Tu Duc 33–1880; 01 scroll; 03 thrones; 03 statues from the Nguyen Dynasty; 01 set of eight treasures; 01 set of halberds; 02 horizontal lacquered boards; 04 pairs of parallel sentences; 01 pair of worship horses; 01 pair of worship cranes; and 01 20th century bronze bell.

The annual traditional festival of Hoa Dinh Temple is held on the 6th day of the 2nd lunar month.
