Industrial production index increased by 24.5% in November

(BNP) - In November, the province’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) decreased by 8% compared to previous month, but still increased 24.5% higher than the same month last year.

Among which, the manufacturing and processing industry decreased by 7.1% and increased by 24.7%; the distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning decreased by 5.7% and increased by 5.9%; water supply industry, waste and wastewater management and treatment decreased 1.7% and 28.8%.

Compared to the previous month, 9 out of 20 industries at level 2 had an increase in production indexes, namely: Food production and processing; textile; Costume production; Processing wood and producing products from wood, bamboo; Manufacture of paper and paper products; Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products; Producing drugs, pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmaceutical materials; Metal production; Producing motor vehicles.

Generally in 11 months, the province’s IIP increased by 0.2% over the same period last year. Among which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 0.2%; electricity, gas and hot water production and distribution increased by 8.3%; water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment decreased by 15.6%.

For the manufacturing and processing industry, 7 out of 20 industries at level 2 had production indexes increased over the same period last year with an increase of from 0.9% to 24.5%.
