Khuc Toai Handicraft Furniture

Khuc Toai has Vietnamese ancient word (Nom) named is Choi village in Khuc Xuyen ward, Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province, fomous for its carpentry, about 300 years ago. The famous Khuc Toai wooden furniture production and trading village has entered the verse “Ma Dong Ho, Do Lang Choi”. Currently, Khuc Toai area has over 300 households in the profession in total of 800 householda and 2950 people.

The wooden furniture  of Choi village is one of the symbols of Kinh Bac culture and since ancient times this place gathered and trading wood in Northeast of our country.

Since ancient times, the people of Khuc Toai with tools such as saws, chisels, planers, scanners have made wooden products such as: mahogany bed, house chair, chairs, curved wings wardrobe, straight wings wardrobe… are popular and famous everywhere.

Nowadays, the traditional carpentry of Khuc Toai developing according to the market trend, many households received orders to design and execute interior wooden houses, villas, and offices such as wooden doors, wawooden cladding wall, ceiling, staircase cladding with many diverse designs.

Khuc Toai handicraft furniture village is recognized by Bac Ninh Provincal People’s Committee as a traditional trade village in Decision No.1989/QĐ-UBND, dated December 26, 2017.
