Medical declaration checked at accommodation facilities

(BNP) - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a document providing guidelines for medical declaration examination at tourist accommodation establishments.

Following the guidance of the General Department of Tourism on the inspection of medical declarations at tourist accommodation establishments nationwide to proactively grasp the travel route of international visitors in Vietnam for better epidemic control; the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the Culture and Information Offices of districts, towns and cities to direct and disseminate to accommodation establishments operating in the province to guide and inspect the medical declaration for foreign visitors entering Vietnam when checking in at the tourist accommodation establishments from 6:00 pm on March 7 / 2020 under the following procedure:

Step 1. Staff of accommodation facilities (staff) uses phone or tablet to download the application "Travel health declaration" application from CH play (for Android OS) or App Store (for iOS).

Step 2. When guests check-in, staff uses the "Travel health declaration" application, scans "QR code" issued for guests on entry or searches medical declaration code (5 digits) for guest on a mobile device (generated by the Travel Health Declaration app), or searches by passport number for those who have declared information at the border.

In case guests have not made health declaration at the border, they are guided to declare on the website https://tokhaiyte.vn or download "Vietnam Health Declaration" application on smart mobile and follow the steps as instructed. In addition, accommodation establishments need to fill their basic information (name, address, telephone, email) in online declaration form at http://ncov.moh.gov.vn/thongtin so that National Steering Committee for Prevention and Fight of Covid-19 Epidemic under the Ministry of Health will send information and instructions on prevention and control of diseases directly to accommodation establishments.
