Meeting with retired senior military officers in province held
(BNP) - On November 30, the Provincial Military Command held a meeting with retired senior military officers in the province on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944-2024) and the 35th anniversary of the All-People Defense Festival (December 22, 1989-2024). Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Leaders of the Provincial Military Command; representatives from Military Region 1 and 464 retired senior military officers in the province also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, delegates reviewed the glorious and heroic tradition of the Vietnam People’s Army and Bac Ninh’s armed forces throughout the journey of construction, fighting and growth.
During the two long and arduous resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism and to protect the border, thousands of heroic martyrs sacrificed their lives and 1,427 mothers were awarded the noble title “Vietnamese Heroic Mother” by the Party and State.
Over the years, the provincial armed forces have always excellently fulfilled their tasks, proactively prevented and fought to defeat all plots and tricks of hostile forces, making important contributions to the cause of industrialization, modernization, innovation, integration and development of the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi acknowledged and commended the achievements and great contributions of retired senior military officers who are from Bac Ninh and are residing in the province during the resistance wars, in building and defending the Fatherland, in the cause of socio-economic development, and ensuring national defense and security of the province.
Loi also gladly informed about the province’s outstanding achievements in socio-economic development in recent year. He emphasized that 2025 is an important year, the final year to implement the economic, cultural and social development targets set out in the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.
Therefore, he hoped that retired senior military officers would always maintain and promote the qualities of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”, with their love and responsibility for their homeland, with their mettle and experience forged in war, to build the Army to make many contributions in building and strengthening national defense and security, resolutely fighting against the plots and sabotage acts of hostile forces.
The Vice Chairman believed that the provincial armed forces would continue to promote the tradition of “Loyalty to the country, piety to the people, ready to fight and sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for socialism, completing any task, overcoming any difficulty, defeating any enemy”, contributing to the province’s successful implementation of socio-economic goals, and striving to make the province become a centrally-run city.
