Phu Du communal house - Place to connect village community

(BNP) - Phu Du communal house, Phu Du commune, Gia Binh district, was built during the Le Dynasty (1619-1643). This is a cultural and religious work with a long history of formation and development. Up to now, the communal house has been closely associated with the development of residential life and the traditional customs and habits of an ancient Vietnamese village.

The main gate was newly built on the old ground.

Located at the beginning of the village, adjacent to Provincial Road 284, the communal house is located on an area of ​​more than 1000 m2 including the works: Great communal hall and Emperor’s Harem


On the roof are two statues of dragons looking at the moon


The Great Communal Hall has the architecture of 4 curved roofs.

The Emperor’s Harem has an architecture connecting and perpendicular to the Great communal hall.

The Phu Du communal house worships the tutelary god Nha Lang Vuong - a general who has contributed to the country and people in the Ly Nam De dynasty.


 


Two “Sau” Stones is placed in the communal house.


4 ancient steles: "Than Phat Chi Bi", "Huong Cong Bi Ky", "Thach Kieu Bi Ky", "Phung Thach Bi Su".

Phu Du communal house festival is held on April 8 every year. Phu Du communal house has really become a cultural center, a place to unite the village community, a place to preserve the good traditions of the homeland.


 

Phu Du communal house has been ranked as a provincial historical relic, Decision No. 2173/QD-UBND dated December 20, 2004.
