Poetry and music program to celebrate 100th birthday of poet Hoang Cam to be held
(BNP) - In the morning of February 19, the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts organized a program "Poetry and Music of Hoang Cam" on the occasion of the 100th birthday of poet Hoang Cam (February 22nd, 1922 - 2022) at the Nguyen Van Cu School of Politics.
Representatives of the Vietnam Writers' Association, the Provincial Association of Culture and Arts present flowers to relatives of poet Hoang Cam.
Poet Hoang Cam, born Bui Tang Viet, was born in Phuc Tang village, Tang Tien commune, Viet Yen district, Bac Giang province. Hoang Cam was originally from Lac Tho village, Ho township, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province. He was a founding member of the Việt Nam Writers Association in 1957. In 2007, he was awarded the State Prize for Literature and Arts, the highest award in Việt Nam.
At the program, the artists recreated typical poetic works such as: Bên Kia Sông Đuống (The Other Side of Đuống River) and Lá Diêu Bông (Love Leaves) …
The program "Poetry and Music of Hoang Cam" aims to honor the contributions of poet Hoang Cam to Vietnamese poetry, provincial literature and art and Bac Ninh – Kinh Bac hometown on the occasion 100th anniversary of the poet's birthday.
