Post and Telecommunication

Post and telecommunications are considered as an important sector, positively contributing to regional and national economic growth. Therefore, Bac Ninh province focused on human resources and application of advanced and modern technology to change in both quality and quantity.

Bac Ninh has now 5 enterprises to supply mobile information service including Bac Ninh Telecommunication (Vinaphone), Viettel Bac Ninh (Viettel), Mobifone Bac Ninh (Mobifone), Vietnamobile Telecommunications Joint Stock Company (Vietnamobile) and Global Telecommunication Joint Stock Company (Gtel network). Businesses not only expanded in scale but also provided increasingly various types of services. Mobile phone network has covered all communes in the province with good quality and became an essential means of communication, thus contributing to socio-economic development as well as ensuring national security and meeting the diverse information needs of the people.

By the end of 2018, the province had 1,056 Base Transceiver Station (BTS) columns and 2,564 BTSs and served more than 1.5 million mobile phone subscribers. In the coming time, Bac Ninh province will carry out 5g mobile network with many practical applications.
