Promote Bac Ninh Quan ho Folk song - intangible cultural heritage in India

(BNP) – On October 16, a delegation of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism led by Mr. Trinh Huu Hung, Director of the Department had a business trip in India with the aim of introducing and promoting Bac Ninh Quan ho Folk song as an intangible cultural heritage at Triveni Kala Sangam Cultural Center, New Delhi, India.

Triveni Kala Sangam is an important educational and cultural art center in New Delhi. It was established in 1950 with four art galleries, a chamber theater, an outdoor theater and an outdoor sculpture gallery. In addition, the Center organized numerous art, music and dance programs.

At Triveni Kala Sangam Cultural Center, the artists and actors of Bac Ninh Quan ho Folk song Theater brought the smooth and romantic Quan Ho folk songs to the program, demonstrating a spirit of hospitality, friendliness, and warmth. Indian artists performed contemporary folk songs with melodious rhythms, rich in Indian tones and nuances. Furthermore, the delegation also spent time exchanging music and culture with artists, teachers and students.

Through the art exchange program, it brought people of two countries closer, enhanced solidarity and friendship, and promoted the comprehensive exchange and cooperation relationship between Vietnam and India.

According to the Plan, from October 19 to October 21, the delegation will continue to introduce and promote Bac Ninh Quan ho Folk song at the theaters in New Delhi and Mumbai.
