Provincial leader inspects agricultural production in Luong Tai district
(BNP) - On March 8, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Tan Phuong inspected the progress of agricultural production in the spring crop in Luong Tai district.
Vice Chairman Phuong inspects the cultivated rice area in Phuong Xa village, Phu Hoa commune, Luong Tai district.
In the past time, the agricultural service cooperatives and farmer households of Luong Tai district harvested winter crops and planted spring crops in 2022 to ensure the completion of the production plan in the best time frame.
Up to now, the whole district has cultivated 4,470ha of rice area, reaching 100% of the plan; 159ha of crops were planted, reaching 17.8% of the plan; more than 1,000 ha of winter crops were harvested, accounting for 87.7% of the area.
Phuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of Luong Tai district in agricultural production in the Spring crop.
In the coming time, he asked Luong Tai district to continue directing units and localities to guide farmers in caring and preventing pests and diseases for rice and crop areas; regularly monitor the weather situation, proactively implement measures to prevent and control cold for plants; ensure adequate water sources for production.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Tan Phuong visited Van Duong Pumping Station (Phu Hoa Commune) and Minh Tien Aquaculture Cooperative (Cap Dien Village, Trung Kenh Commune).
