Seminar "Solutions to promote agricultural products on e-commerce platforms" held
(BNP) - On October 30, at Phu Son Tourism, Culture and Sports Center (Bac Ninh city), the Provincial Center for Agricultural Extension and High-tech Agriculture Development (Center) held an agricultural seminar with the theme "Solutions to promote agricultural products on e-commerce platforms".

Bac Ninh province has recently issued a number of policies to encourage and promote agricultural production, including Plan No. 716/KH-UB of the Provincial People's Committee on supporting the introduction of agricultural production to e-commerce platforms, promoting the development of the digital economy of agriculture and rural areas in Bac Ninh. The province has developed the "Bac Ninh e-commerce platform" (http://www.ecombacninh.vn) for mobile devices, allowing businesses to list products on the platform and customers to access and shop. Currently, the province has 167 provincial-level OCOP products that fulfill 3-star and 4-star requirements, with 20% of OCOP product makers having websites to market their products. 100% of OCOP product producers have electronic bank transaction accounts, and half of them use electronic books on computers to monitor and record production and sales diaries.
To support agricultural products on e-commerce platforms, the Electronic Information Portal of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Center’s Electronic Information Page regularly posted information, promotional images, and introduced production facilities, typical agricultural products, and OCOP products of the province. At the same time, the center organized fairs and exhibitions to widely promote on digital platforms and e-commerce platforms through communication channels; organized specialized training courses on the application of information technology in agricultural production, focusing on digital transformation, traceability of agricultural products and instructing people to exploit, put products on e-commerce platforms and sell on the internet; held a training course in creating videos to promote agricultural products", contributing to connecting, promoting, introducing products, adding new distribution channels, and expanding the market for agricultural products of the province.
At the seminar, delegates focused on clarifying the advantages and difficulties when putting agricultural products on e-commerce platforms; the province's policy in supporting putting agricultural products on e-commerce platforms; conditions and standards for putting agricultural products on e-commerce platforms; solutions to strengthen propaganda, training skills in using information technology, digital transformation for people and businesses participating in exploiting e-commerce applications; developing infrastructure, supporting e-transactions and integrating e-payments on mobile platforms; measures to raise awareness and responsibility of people in producing products that ensure food hygiene and safety, etc.
