Bac Ninh province harvests more than 90% of rice crop
(BNP) - Taking advantage of favorable weather, up to now, farmers of localities in the province have harvested more than 26,300 hectares of rice crop, reaching 92.6% of the cultivated area and equaling to 95.4% compared to the same period.

According to the assessment of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the total yield of the rice crop in the province was estimated at 5.3 tons per hectare, down 8.65 tons per hectare compared to the 2023 crop. The decrease in rice yield was due to the heading and flowering stages being affected by typhoon Yagi.
At the same time, the province planted 4,604 hectares of winter crops, reaching 76.7% of the plan, mainly corn, potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, squash and various green vegetables.
