The province cultivates 77.6% of the area of vegetables and winter crops

(BNP) - With the policy of further promoting the production of the winter crops, especially expanding the area of ​​safe food crops meeting VietGAP criteria and applying high technology, the Provincial People's Committee has directed the Agriculture sector to collaborate with localities to support, encourage farmers, cooperatives and enterprises in large-scale land accumulation for production.

According to the plan, in the winter crops of 2018, the province strives to cultivate 7,100 ha of vegetable, increasing 230ha over the winter crop in 2017.

Up to November 15th, the province has planted 5,512 ha of winter-spring vegetables, reaching 77.6% of plan and equaling 99.5% over the same period. Vegetables are planted and technically insect resistant so they grow and develop well. Some districts have large and fast-growing areas, such as Que Vo, Gia Binh, Luong Tai, Thuan Thanh and Tien Du.
