Vice Chairwoman of Vietnam Farmers’ Union works with Provincial Farmers’ Union
(BNP) - On May 24, a delegation led by Mrs. Bui Thi Thom, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Farmers’ Union (FU) worked with the Provincial FU to grasp and learn about the Union’s activities and the results of 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW dated July 20, 2014 of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam FU (term VI) on strengthening and changing propagation and mobilization of farmers in the new situation.
Overview of the working session.
Recently, the Provincial FU has actively grasped, deployed and soon brought into life the 8th Resolution of the Vietnam FU, term 2023 - 2028. Many activities were organized, targeting the grassroots to gather and attract a large number of members. By the end of the first 4 months of 2024, the Unions at all levels coordinated with banks to entrust 23,015 households with loans for economic development with a total outstanding loan of more than VND 1,138 billion.
The Unions at all levels also promoted and improved the movement’s effectiveness among good farmers in production and business associated with building new rural areas and civilized cities. In the first 4 months of 2024, 249 members were admitted to the Union, bringing the total number of members in the province to 176,215 members, working in 672 grassroots.
During the 2014-2024 period, all levels of the Unions has organized nearly 27,000 propaganda sessions for over 2.3 million members and farmers. They issued 43,600 copies of the newsletter to 100% of branches and grassroots, etc.
Concluding the working session, Vice Chairwoman Bui Thi Thom acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Provincial FU in recent times and after 10 years of implementing Resolution No. 19 of the Executive Committee of the Central Vietnam FU (term VI).
