Vietnam-India Music Exchange Program held in Bac Ninh
(BNP) - On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of India's Independence Day (August 15, 1947 - 2023), on the evening of August 13, Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee and the Embassy of India in Vietnam jointly organized the Vietnam-India Music Exchange Program at Quan Ho Folk SongTheater.

Participants at the program were Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Subhash Prasad Gupta, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of India to Vietnam; Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hanh Chung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.
The Program was performed by Tetseo Sisters Band and artists of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theatre, attracting nearly 200 audiences. The Tetseo Sisters band performed contemporary folk songs combining English/Hindi/Chokri trilings. The songs are lessons about life, nature, love of country, friendship, courage and youthful ambitions...

Expressing the spirit of hospitality, friendliness and warmth, even the brothers and sisters of their Quan Ho hometown also brought to program smooth, lovely and smooth melodies through the songs “Mời nước, mời trầu” (Invite water, invite betel nut); “Bèo dạt mây trôi” (Dirt Drifting Clouds), “Chuông vàng gác cửa tam quan” (Golden bells guard the door of the three gates)…
By exchanging traditional folk songs from the two countries, the program will help to bring the peoples of the two countries closer together, thereby strengthening friendship and solidarity between the two peoples and promoting the comprehensive exchange and cooperation relationship and friendship between Vietnam and India.

Opening the program is the performance "Invite water, invite betel nut" by the brothers and sisters of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater.
