Vietnam Social Insurance promotes communication about social insurance and health insurance policy

(BNP) - Vietnam Social Insurance (VSI) just issued an Official Dispatch on requesting the Social Insurance (SI) of provinces and centrally-run cities to strengthen communication about social insurance and health insurance policies in the last months of 2024.

According to the Official Dispatch, the VSI acknowledged the efforts of SI agencies of provinces and cities (collectively referred to as provincial-level SI) in the first 9 months of 2024, especially synchronous solutions and effective communication work on social insurance and health insurance policies.

In order for the whole industry strives to successfully complete assigned targets and tasks, and gain achievements towards the 30th anniversary of the VSI’s establishment (February 16, 1995 - 2025), the VSI requested that provincial-level SI would continue to closely follow the spirit of Directive No. 27-CT/TW dated December 25, 2023 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party’s leadership in practicing thrift and combating waste; and Directive No. 07/CT-TTg on strengthening policy communication.

Based on its guidance documents, the VSI recommended that provincial-level SI proactively lead, direct and implement communication activities to ensure flexibility, creativity and suitability to local socio-economic characteristics, in order to complete and achieve the highest results.

Specifically, it is necessary to further enhance the responsibility of leaders and deputies in directing and implementing communication activities. They need to actively deploy communication campaigns according to topics, themes, and campaigns according to the VSI’s guidance.

The agencies promote the role of the media collaborator teams; mobilize the participation of the officials of the Commune People’s Committee, especially the Cultural-Social officials, heads of residential groups, village, and hamlet in the work of communication, mobilization, development of participants and maintaining the number of people renewing their participation in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance.

They also deploy campaigns to call for and mobilize units and individuals to do volunteer work to give social insurance books and health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances.
