Yen Phong district propagates and dialogues with more than 250 production establishments in Van Mon and Dong Tho communes

(BNP) – On the morning of November 6, in Van Mon commune, Yen Phong District People's Committee organized a conference to disseminate policies and laws on environment, fire prevention and fighting, electrical safety and dialogue with more than 250 households, production, casting and metal recycling establishments in Van Mon and Dong Tho communes.


Overview of the conference.

At the Conference, representatives from specialized departments of Yen Phong district informed about the policies and directives of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the district on continuing to handle environmental pollution in Van Mon commune and regulations on penalties for violations in the fields of environment, fire prevention and fighting, electricity, etc.

Accordingly, the Yen Phong District People's Committee established an inspection team and set up checkpoints to monitor (24/7) vehicles transporting scrap in and out of Man Xa craft village, strictly handle violations according to the provisions of law and stop the operation of establishments and households that do not have environmental protection measures before December 31, 2024; for establishments that meet the conditions, they are allowed to operate until December 31, 2025.

In 2025, the district relocated aluminum recycling facilities and households in craft villages to operate in industrial clusters or convert to other industries; handled facilities and households that produce, smelt, and recycle metals that do not voluntarily comply according to the provisions of the law and  acts of opposition and obstruction of law enforcement officers...

During the conference, representatives from households and production facilities thanked the leaders of Yen Phong district for taking the time to listen to their thoughts and aspirations and expressed their agreement with the relocation policy of the district and the province. They also recommended that the district leaders and specialized departments extend the inspection period so that the facilities have time to overcome and handle environmental pollution; have policies and mechanisms, and arrange land funds to carry out relocation and change the type of operation; soon have a unit price for handling the amount of waste slag remaining in the area, etc.

On behalf of the leaders of Yen Phong District, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Nguyen Duc Thinh directly analyzed and answered the opinions of representatives of households, production facilities, metal casting and recycling.

The Vice Chairman hoped that households, metal production, casting and recycling establishments in particular, and people in Man Xa village (Van Mon commune) and Binh An village (Dong Tho commune) would highly agree with the policy of the province and the district as well as join hands to solve environmental pollution in Van Mon and Dong Tho communes, contributing to improving the quality of life and health of the community so as to create a driving force to promote local socio-economic development.
