(BNP) - According to information from the Department of Education and Training, among the 15 candidates participating in the second round of selection for the National teams to compete in the International and Regional Olympiads, Bac Ninh province is honored to have 3 students selected to participate in the 2026 International and Regional Olympiads in Biology and Physics.

Among them, two students were selected to participate in the International Biology Olympiad: Than Duc Chinh and Phung Quang Hung, both 12th-grade students from Bac Giang Specialized High School. Previously, at the National Excellent Student Selection Exam for the 2025-2026 school year, Than Duc Chinh won first prize in Biology, and Phung Quang Hung won second prize in Biology.
One student selected to participate in the 2026 Asian Physics Olympiad is Ta Ngoc Minh, a 12th-grade student from Bac Ninh Specialized High School. Ta Ngoc Minh has won first prize in the National Physics Olympiad for two consecutive years (2024-2025 and 2025-2026).
According to the plan, the Asian Physics Olympiad will be held in South Korea from May 17-25, 2026. The Vietnamese team will send 8 contestants. Based on the results of the Asian Physics Olympiad and the results of the second round of the competition, the Ministry of Education and Training will select the 5 best-performing contestants to participate in the 2026 International Physics Olympiad.
For the 2026 International Biology Olympiad, the Vietnamese national team will send a maximum of 4 contestants. The competition is expected to take place in July 2026.
