(BNP) - On the occasion of the 117th anniversary of Comrade Ngo Gia Tu's birthday (December 3, 1908 - 2025), a delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee and Delegation of National Assembly Deputies offered incense at the monument of Comrade Ngo Gia Tu (Tam Son and Bac Giang wards, Bac Ninh province).

Provincial leaders attending the incense offering ceremony were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thai; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Huong; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son; Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Viet Oanh.

The delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense in memory of Comrade Ngo Gia Tu - an outstanding communist soldier, a senior leader of the Party, an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, and an outstanding son of his homeland Bac Ninh. He was one of the founders of the Indochinese Communist Party, the predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Comrade Ngo Gia Tu was born and nurtured in Tam Son, a place rich in cultural and revolutionary traditions. He became aware of the revolution early on and was admitted to the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association in 1926. In 1928, he was chosen Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth Association, as well as a member of the Bac Ky Executive Committee. In June 1929, he was elected to the Provisional Central Executive Committee of the Indochina Communist Party. Following the Communist Party of Vietnam's foundation meeting in February 1930, he was named Secretary of the Southern Executive Committee. He was a person with great merit in propagating, building the first revolutionary bases and directing the establishment of the Indochinese Communist Party Committee in Bac Ninh - Bac Giang.

The 117th anniversary of Comrade Ngo Gia Tu's birth is an opportunity for the Party Committee and People of Bac Ninh province to remember and express gratitude for his great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. He is forever the pride of the Party, the nation and his homeland Bac Ninh.
