Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai attends National Great Unity Day in Mau village, Tay Yen Tu commune

(BNP) - On the morning of November 9, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thai attended the National Great Unity Day at the residential area of ​​Mau village, Tay Yen Tu commune.

At the festival, delegates reviewed the 95-year glorious journey of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - 2025) and evaluated the results of the 5 contents of the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" as well as summarized the Great National Unity Day in 2025 at the residential area of ​​Mau village.

Mau village is located in the west of Tay Yen Tu commune, with 356 households and 1,381 people, nearly 90% of whom are ethnic minorities, mainly Dao people. The village Party cell has 28 party members. Over the years, the village has encouraged the tradition of cooperation and innovation, accelerated socioeconomic development, improved people's lives, maintained political stability, social order, and safety, and established a strong political system; promoted patriotic emulation movements, campaigns: "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", etc.

Up to now, 80% of the inner-village roads have been concreted; the electricity, water, telecommunications, health and education systems have received attention; 100% of the population has health insurance cards, 99.5% of children go to school; 80% of households have access to clean water; the poverty rate has decreased to 19.1%, and the near-poor rate to 12.6%...

Speaking at the festival, Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai briefly informed about the outstanding results in socio-economic development after the province's merger. At the same time, he praised and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party Cell, the Front Working Committee and the people of Mau village residential area in the past time.

The Secretary requested cadres and people of all ethnic groups in Mau village residential area to continue to promote propaganda and mobilize people to well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws; develop the economy associated with protecting the ecological environment, promote the restructuring of crops and livestock towards commodities; promote the economic potential of the forest hills, consider forestry as a spearhead, contribute to increasing income, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty sustainably and so on.

At the Festival, Mau village launched emulation activities to welcome the 14th National Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and the Congresses of the Fatherland Front at all levels, towards the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031.

On this occasion, Mau village residential area, Tay Yen Tu commune was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" in 2025. The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee presented 01 set of amplifiers and speakers worth VND 20 million to the village and gave gifts to 68 poor households in Mau village.
