(BNP) - That is one of the contents set out in Plan No. 86/KH-UBND of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province on deploying 5G and IoT network infrastructure in industrial parks and clusters (IPs) in Bac Ninh province by 2030, which has just been issued.

Focus on improving the digital technology integration environment, aiming towards the model of Smart IPs and IPs.

The implementation plan aims to build and complete ultra-high-speed, ultra-low-latency 5G network infrastructure and a centralized, synchronized IoT application platform in industrial zones (IZs) and clusters (ICs), creating a foundation for the province’s comprehensive digital transformation.

The plan will support enterprises, especially high-tech FDI enterprises, in applying 5G and IoT solutions to automate and optimize production processes, thereby improving productivity and product quality.

At the same time, it will enhance the digital technology integration environment in the management and operation of IZs and ICs, including environmental monitoring, energy management, security, and more, moving towards the model of smart IZs and ICs.

By 2030, the province strives to ensure: 100% of IZs and ICs have high-speed fiber optic infrastructure ready for connecting 5G stations and IoT devices; 100% of operational IZs and ICs are covered by 5G;

100% of industrial zones are equipped with IoT systems for environmental monitoring, with data connected online to management agencies.

To achieve these goals, during the 2025–2026 period, the province will prioritize the construction and installation of 5G BTS stations and the deployment of several basic IoT applications in major IZs and ICs, striving to install 213 new 5G BTS stations, bringing the cumulative total to 265 by the end of 2026.

For the 2027–2030 period, the province will focus on expanding network infrastructure, installing more 5G BTS stations, and deploying extensive IoT applications across IZs and ICs. The target is to install 936 new 5G BTS stations, reaching a cumulative total of 1,201 by the end of 2030.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Mai Son, assigned the Department of Science and Technology to take the lead, guiding departments, agencies, units, and relevant enterprises in implementing the plan. The Department will coordinate with major telecom operators (Viettel, VNPT, MobiFone) to develop detailed roadmaps and plans for deploying 5G base stations in IZs and ICs.

Telecommunication enterprises, based on the plan, are required to develop annual 5G coverage plans for IZs and ICs, ensuring network speed, latency, and stability in accordance with regulations, while implementing effective operational solutions that meet business needs. Systems should be adjusted and optimized based on feedback to improve performance and user experience.

Investors in IZ and IC infrastructure within the province are responsible for closely coordinating with telecom enterprises and relevant agencies, creating favorable conditions for deployment and shared use of infrastructure such as BTS stations, fiber optic transmission lines, and others within IZs and ICs.
