(BNP) - On the occasion of preparing to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, on the afternoon of February 12th, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son visited and extended New Year greetings to Bishop Do Quang Khang, Bishop of the Bac Ninh Diocese.

The delegation was received by Bishop Do Quang Khang, along with priests, religious, and representatives of the Parish Council of the Bac Ninh Diocese.
During the visit and New Year's greetings, Chairman Pham Hoang Son respectfully extended wishes for health and peace to the Bishop, priests, and religious figures for the New Year; and affirmed his appreciation for the close relationship and cooperation between the government and the Diocese over the past time. Besides, he provided an overview of the socio-economic development situation in 2025, noting that many targets were met or exceeded.

Bac Ninh province will continue to pay attention to and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of the people and religious establishments; fully implement compensation, support, and resettlement policies as prescribed, with the highest goal being to stabilize the lives of the people, Son added.

On the occasion of the New Year, the Chairman thanked the Bishop and the Bac Ninh Diocese for actively encouraging Catholic compatriots to live "good lives and uphold moral values," participate in patriotic emulation movements, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the province. He expressed his hope that in 2026, the Bishop and priests would continue to pay attention to, accompany, and support the province's policies and contribute to strengthening national unity.
