(BNP) - On the afternoon of December 14th, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son visited and surveyed the JOKASO wastewater treatment model in the Quang Minh lake area, Bac Giang ward.

The domestic wastewater treatment model of JOKASO Vietnam Joint Stock Company applies NAO technology - purely biological (Biodegradation → Recombination → Biodegradation). This is an advanced treatment technology that does not use chemicals, does not generate secondary sludge, does not cause odor, operates automatically, and can be monitored remotely through an IoT - AI - SCADA system.
The experiment aims to verify the practical effectiveness of the purely biological wastewater treatment technology researched and proposed by JOKASO Vietnam Joint Stock Company under the specific conditions of several locations in Bac Giang ward; to thoroughly treat untreated domestic wastewater before discharging it into the lake, minimize pollution, eliminate odors, and improve the quality of the lake's surface water. At the same time, it assesses the potential for replicating the "self-cleaning lake - ecological urban" model in lakes, apartment projects, urban areas, etc., throughout Bac Ninh province.
NAO technology – a purely biological solution – is an advanced, environmentally friendly wastewater treatment solution. This technology operates based on natural biological decomposition, enhancing dissolved oxygen and balancing the microbial ecosystem, helping to remove organic pollutants and reduce odors. The treated water meets standard A – QCVN14:2025/BTNMT. The system has a compact design, flexible installation, uses no chemicals, generates no secondary sludge; its operation is automated and can be monitored remotely; and its operating costs are low, making it suitable for current urban infrastructure conditions.

Here, Chairman Pham Hoang Son chatted with and inquired about the living conditions of the people residing around Quang Minh Lake. He expressed his pleasure at the positive feedback from the people regarding the noticeable changes in the environment and landscape of the area after the implementation of the wastewater treatment model. He also urged the people to continue working together with the local Party committee and government in maintaining environmental hygiene, raising awareness of landscape protection, and contributing to building a bright, green, clean, and beautiful living space in a sustainable manner.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son highly appreciated the efforts of the units in researching and applying environmentally friendly wastewater treatment technology. At the same time, he requested specialized departments and agencies to continue monitoring and comprehensively evaluating the effectiveness of the model, as a basis for considering the replication of domestic wastewater treatment solutions suitable for urban conditions, contributing to improving the environment and enhancing the quality of life for the people.
