Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai receives and works with Vietnam Tourism Association

(BNP) - On the afternoon of October 23, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai received and worked with a delegation of the Vietnam Tourism Association led by Chairman Vu The Binh on a field survey of the Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism area (Tay Yen Tu commune, Bac Ninh province) to pilot the construction and operation of a sustainable tourism destination management model.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh said that the survey program is part of a series of coordinated activities between the Association and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), aiming to promote the green tourism model, develop sustainable tourism products, and preserve local cultural and natural values. According to the Chairman of the Association, Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism area is not only an outstanding spiritual destination but also an area with great potential for developing types of eco-tourism, community tourism and green agriculture - in line with the trend of sustainable tourism development.

Binh highly appreciated the efforts of Bac Ninh province in planning and investing in tourism infrastructure in the West Yen Tu area, forming the tourist route "Journey to Truc Lam", recreating the journey of propagating Buddhism of King Tran Nhan Tong.

Binh also discussed some orientations for trade, service and tourism development in Bac Ninh province. Accordingly, the province needs to focus on increasing the proportion of trade - services, developing urban types combined with tourism, exploiting the strengths of cuisine and traditional cultural products. At the same time, the province continues pay attention to building green tourism products, promoting the role of local communities, aiming to recognize biosphere reserves, contributing to raising awareness and preserving indigenous cultural values.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai affirmed that Bac Ninh always prioritizes tourism development in a green - sustainable - environmentally responsible direction, which is linked to preserving the cultural and historical values ​​of Tay Yen Tu land. The province has focused on investing in infrastructure, landscape and convenient traffic connections, creating the foundation for the formation of Tay Yen Tu Green Tourism Area - an important highlight in the local tourism development strategy.

The Vice Chairman hoped that through this survey trip, the Vietnam Tourism Association will support Bac Ninh in promoting, advertising and introducing new tourism products; thereby attracting more travel businesses and tourists to Tay Yen Tu.

Also at the meeting, Vice Chairman Dao Quang Khai provided more information on the province's key environmental goals and projects. Bac Ninh has basically handled pollution hotspots in craft villages, aiming for a safe and sustainable living environment for future generations.

Currently, the province has 4 waste-to-energy incineration plants, using modern technology and high capacity, ensuring the treatment of all waste in the province by 2027. The plants are invested in the form of socialization, with the participation of domestic and foreign enterprises, contributing to making Bac Ninh a leading locality in applying advanced, environmentally friendly waste treatment technology.

He emphasized that Bac Ninh province always prioritizes and invests in developing sustainable tourism associated with environmental protection and preserving cultural values, thereby making tourism an important economic sector, building Bac Ninh into an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists.
