14th Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front of Bac Ninh province takes place

Participants at the congress were Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Vice Chairwoman and General Secretary of the VFF; Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Member of the Central Committee of the CPV, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the PPC, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the CPV, Deputy Secretary of the PPC, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders and former leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, districts, towns and cities; and the Revolutionary Elders, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes as well as 380 official delegates representing people from all social strata in the province.

In the 2019-2024 term, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have proactively implemented and completed 16 out of 16 targets set out by the Resolution of the Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, unexpected and unprecedented tasks, making an important contribution to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks.

In the past 5 years, the Fatherland Front at all levels has mobilized more than VND 119 billion for the "For the Poor" Fund, constructed and repaired 1,162 1,162 Great Solidarity houses with a budget of more than VND 83 billion, and supported the production development, medical examination and treatment, etc. with an amount of more than VND 10 billion, contributing to ensuring social security. At the same time, they deployed the movement “All people stay united to build new-style rural and civilized urban areas” in the province.

In the 2024-2029 term, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will promote the propaganda, mobilization and gathering of all strata of people, strengthen social consensus, and build a strong national unity bloc. In addition, they  innovate the content and mode of operation of the Fatherland Front and its membership organizations according to the motto of strongly focusing on the grassroots to build a "self-governing, united, prosperous and happy residential area". They also strongly deploy the movement “All people stay unite to donate land to build transport infrastructure” in the province, etc.

Speaking at the Congress, VFF’s Vice Chairwoman and General Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Ha and PPC’s Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan acknowledged and praised the results and achievements of the Fatherland Front at all levels, thereby, making an important contribution to the province’s overall development in recent times.

For the upcoming tasks, Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan requested the Fatherland Front at all levels of Bac Ninh province to closely follow the Resolutions of the Party Central Committee, the VFF, and the Resolutions, Directives and Plans of the province to determine the correct focus and key points in the new term.

The Fatherland Front at all levels has increasingly promoted the great lessons of respecting the people, being close to the people, understanding the people, protecting the people, and creating consensus in society; paying attention to the work of Fatherland Front officials; successfully building and operating the self-management model of inter-family groups in residential areas; training to share models and experiences; equipping knowledge and skills; establishing a network of Fatherland Front officials throughout the province, and so on.

The consultation congress electing the VFF of Bac Ninh province, 14^th tenure, term 2024-2029, includes 79 members. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, 13^th tenure, was trusted to be re-elected as Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, 14^th tenure, term 2024 - 2029. The congress also elected 7 official delegates, 2 alternate ones to attend the 10^th Congress of the VFF, term 2024-2029.

On this occasion, many groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in building great national unity in the 2019-2024 period were rewarded by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
