90% of people participates in insurance

(BNP) - By the end of March, according to report of Statistic Office, the province had 1,136.6 thousand people participating in insurance of all kinds, accounting for 93% of total province's population in comparison with same period last year (increased by 13%), up14.6%.

Accordingly, 1,133 thousand people participated in health insurance, up 13%; 324.9 thousand people participated in social insurance, up 11.7%; 321.4 thousand people took part in voluntary insurance
 
 The total amount of insurance reached VND 1,448.9 billion, up 24.1% compared with same period of last year, of which, revenue from health insurance was VND 318.7 billion, up 19.8%; revenue from social insurance was VND 1,052.4 billion, up 26.4%.
 
In the first quarter, the province paid insurance premiums totaling VND 919.8 billion, a year- - on – year increase of 10.6%.
