Bac Ninh strives for 100% of district-level administrative units to meet standard cultural centers
(BNP) - According to Bac Ninh province planning for the 2021 - 2030 period, vision to 2050, Bac Ninh strives to build and develop comprehensively the province’s culture and people, which is an important driving force for sustainable development. The province also develops cultural tourism associated with the development of cultural and creative industries.

In addition, the province develops sports to foster and promote the physical strength and height of Kinh Bac people and focuses on developing local strong sports, creating Bac Ninh province’s brand. It also exploits and develops various types of sports economics, combining tourism services, entertainment, resorts and golf courses.
Following the cultural infrastructure development plan, Bac Ninh strives for 100% of district and commune-level administrative units to have sufficient cultural institutional facilities. It preserves, embellishes and develops cultural works and revolutionary historical relics linked with tourism development.
For provincial cultural institutions, Bac Ninh invests in building Quan Ho practice houses in Quan Ho villages in the province, national-standard cinema centers, information centers, fairs and exhibitions. It upgrades, renovates and constructs new institutions: the Provincial Cultural Center, the Provincial Museum, the Provincial Library, the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Theater, the Provincial Youth Cultural Palace. The province also invests, upgrades infrastructure, modernizes and digitizes the provincial library; completes the project to build an electronic library, linking library activities with preserving and promoting cultural values in the province; develops digital collections of rare and ancient documents as well as special value; expands international cooperation in the library field. At the same time, it deploys and develops systems of cultural - ecological parks and thematic parks; as well as system of monuments, living institutions and folk cultural art performances.
For district-level cultural institutions, the province invests in building a system of district-level cultural institutions and upgrades 04 cultural houses in Que Vo town, Luong Tai, Gia Binh and Yen Phong districts. 100% of district-level administrative units have cultural centers (including institutions: cultural houses, museums, libraries) that meet prescribed standards. 04 children’s cultural houses or district-level children’s activity centers are newly constructed in Tu Son city, Que Vo town, Gia Binh and Yen Phong districts.
In terms of the square and park system, the overall space of the province’s central square construction area is formed, ensuring the continuous connection of 03 spaces of monuments, squares and green parks. 100% of district-level administrative units have squares and parks.
For non-public cultural and sports institutions, Bac Ninh continues to maintain and promote the existing system of non-public institutions. It encourages investment in building new cultural and sports institutions for urban areas and industrial parks.
In terms of the sports infrastructure development plan, the province invests in new construction, upgrades and repairs important sports facilities. 100% of district-level administrative units have 03 basic sports facilities (multi-purpose gymnasium, stadium, swimming pool) that meet prescribed standards. It further invests in upgrading and building new practice fields and floors for physical education and sports in schools at all levels to meet the average area per student.
By 2050, Bac Ninh strives to become a green, smart, modern, and livable city with a high level of development, imbued with Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac cultural identity. People enjoy social services and a quality of life on par with developed countries in the Asian region.
