Bac Ninh summarizes business improvement consulting program
(BNP) - On December 17, the provincal People's Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Samsung Vietnam jointly summarized the business improvement consulting program for Bac Ninh enterprises.
Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang and leaders of SamSung Vietnam visit the factory of Tran Thanh Company Limited.
The event was attended by Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huong Giang; General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex Choi Joo Ho, representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, functional departments, and 5 involved enterprises.
Implementing the tripartite memorandum of understanding signed among the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee and Samsung Vietnam to support local supplies for Samsung, 5 typical enterprises in the province were selected for the program namely Zion Plastics Joint Stock Company, Trần Thành Company Ltd, Smart Tech Vina Company Ltd, JAT Autoparts and Industrial Equipments Production JSC and Việt Nam Autotech Machinery Joint Stock Company. After 3 months (from October 13 to December 17) being consulted about production and competitiveness improvement by Korean experts, the selected enterprises have achieved good results from level 1 to level 2 or 3 in the 5 level scale. 3.
Specifically, at Zion Plastic Joint Stock Company, equipment use efficiency has been improved 15% and labor productivity 42%, while the process error rate decreased by 46% and mold replacement time cut down to 67%. Production capacity and System guarantees increased from Level 1 to Level 3.
At Tran Thanh Co., Ltd (specializing in manufacturing large carton packaging), labor productivity has been improved 18%, while the process error rate decreased by 35% and internal production moves cut down to 50%. Production capacity increased from Level 1 to Level 2; guarantee system increased to Level 3.
At JAT Auto Parts and Industrial Equipment Joint Stock Company, a supplier for many big automobile and motorcycle companies in Vietnam, labor productivity has been improved 21%, while the process error rate decreased by 71% and mold replacement time cut down to 36%. Production capacity and System guarantee increased from Level 1 to Level 2.
Vietnam Mechanic Engineering and Smart Technology Application Co., Ltd., production capacity and assurance system increase from Level 1 to Level 2; 43 out of 48 improvement projects have been completed, accounting for 89.5% and the rest 5 are underway.
Autotech Vietnam Machinery Manufacturing Joint Stock Company has focused on improving 3 main areas of working environment, quality, and productivity enhancement.
Witnessing the improvement in person at factories, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang and General Director Choi Joo Ho highly appreciated the initial achievements through the improvement program.
The Chairwoman urged businesses to continue the improvement and fulfillment of professional quality management system in order to maintain and develop their competitiveness, thus creating motivation for other local businesses to innovate for higher competitiveness.
She hoped for Samsung Vietnam’s continued support in the production quality and productivity improvement of local businesses so as to gradually participate in the supply chain of Samsung Group in particular and the global value chain in general.
On this occasion, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the provincial People's Committee and Samsung Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang and Mr. Choi Joo Ho awarded certificates of innovation to enterprises.
