Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee commends collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in handling serious environmental pollution in province
(BNP) - On the afternoon of December 18, at the regular meeting of December 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC), Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the PPC, awarded 05 collectives and 07 individuals with outstanding achievements in handling serious environmental pollution in the province.

At the meeting, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan awarded Certificates of Merit to: Bac Ninh City Public Security; the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Ninh City; Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Duc Bach, Deputy Head of Bac Ninh City Public Security; Ms. Duong To Uyen, Head of the Department of Justice of Bac Ninh City; Mr. Nguyen Manh Tung, official of the Center for Culture - Sports and Communications of Bac Ninh City for their achievements in handling environmental pollution in Phong Khe handicraft village, Bac Ninh city.
The Chairman also awarded Certificates of Merit to: people and officials of Yen Phong district; Yen Phong district police; Lieutenant Colonel Cao Dinh Thuan, Deputy Chief of Yen Phong district police; Major Nghiem Dinh Quyen, Deputy Chief of Van Mon commune police, Yen Phong district; Mr. Pham Duc Dinh, Deputy Head of Yen Phong district natural resources and environment department; people and officials of Phu Lam commune, Tien Du district; Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen, Deputy Head of Tien Du district natural resources and environment department for their achievements in environmental pollution treatment in Van Mon commune, Yen Phong district and Phu Lam commune, Tien Du district.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan acknowledged and praised the sense of responsibility of the forces participating in handling the "hot spots" of environmental pollution in handicraft villages in Phong Khe ward, Van Mon commune and Phu Lam Industrial Cluster.
In the coming time, the Chairman requested localities to continue to handle environmental pollution for the happy life of the people so that Bac Ninh province can develop greenly and sustainably.
The Chairman requested Bac Ninh city to complete the inspection of all facilities in Phong Khe 1 and 2 Industrial Clusters before December 30. Any facility that does not meet the requirements will be suspended to ensure fairness in the implementation process. Tien Du district will suspend the operations of 100% of facilities outside Phu Lam Industrial Cluster and the district will drastically inspect more enterprises in the Cluster. Yen Phong district continues to maintain the achieved results in environmental pollution treatment in Van Mon commune. The remaining localities proactively develop a plan to handle environmental pollution points in the area, they need to complete by March 31, 2025 at the latest.
The Chairman requested Tu Son city, Yen Phong district and Tien Du district to complete the treatment of the remaining waste in the area by March 31, 2025 at the latest, the remaining localities must complete by January 20, 2025 at the latest.
