Overview of Conference

Also attending conference were Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hai Nam, Principal of Hanoi University of Pharmacy; leaders of a number of departments, sectors and Bac Ninh city.

The investment project to build Hanoi University of Pharmacy - Campus 2 in Vo Cuong ward, Bac Ninh city has a total cost of more than VND 1,357 billion. To date, the project has disbursed more than VND 168 billion; completed site clearance and received the first decision on land allocation by the Provincial People's Committee with an area of ​​205,678.1 m2; completed phase 1 feeder road project and relocated the 35KV power line.

It is expected that in 2024, the investor will continue to adjust the loan agreement, negotiate and extend ongoing consulting and contractor contracts, update bidding documents, organize the selection of contractors for the international general contractor package "construction and supply and installation of construction equipment"... However, during the project implementation process, there were still some difficulties in site clearance related to the relocation of about 200 graves on the project land area.

At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam sent his thanks to the provincial leaders for paying attention, creating conditions and actively supporting the project implementation process. At the same time, he hoped that the Provincial People's Committee would continue to support the investor in completing items related to compensation and site clearance; complete construction permit procedures and electricity and water connections in case the project has selected a construction contractor.

Speaking at the conclusion of the Conference, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized the policy of attracting leading universities to build facilities in the province with an aim to training high-quality human resources for the province’s socio-economic development. At the same time, he affirmed that when the project comes into operation, it would make Hanoi University of Pharmacy into a national key specialized university, a center for scientific research and training of modern pharmaceutical human resources.

In the coming time, Tuan requested Hanoi University of Pharmacy to urgently complete procedures and select a contractor to complete the construction before November 30, 2024, to start construction of the project before 2025. He assigned the People's Committee of Bac Ninh City to take drastic action in land clearance work and complete the relocation of graves before November 30, 2024, to hand over to the investor.
