Continue to promote implementation of VND 120,000 billion credit program for social housing development
(BNP) - On the morning of August 21, the State Bank of Vietnam - Bac Ninh Branch (SBV) held a conference to promote the VND 120,000 billion credit program for social housing development under Resolution 33/NQ-CP dated March 11, 2023 of the government in the province. Mr. Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and directed the conference.

At the conference, Deputy Director of the Provincial State Bank Nguyen Thac Quang said that, implementing Resolution No. 33/NQ-CP of the Government, the Provincial State Bank has actively deployed and directed commercial banks to approach, grasp the demand for loans, and guide investors and home buyers to complete loan documents and procedures according to regulations. On July 17, 2023, there were 6 projects belonging to 5 investors that meet the loan requirements according to Resolution 33 in the province.
Up to now, 2 bank branches have disbursed loans to 2 customers who are investors, corresponding to 2 projects (the construction investment project of Thong Nhat social housing area on Le Thai To street, Vo Cuong ward, Bac Ninh city; the project of social housing area, retail supermarket for electronics and household appliances, groceries in Pho Moi ward, Que Vo town) with disbursement turnover of VND 170 billion, outstanding loan balance of VND 164 billion; disbursement for 7 customers who are home buyers with turnover of VND 2.93 billion, outstanding loan balance of VND 2.82 billion.
In addition to the 4 banks: BIDV, Vietinbank, Agribank, Vietcombank, currently there are more banks: Tien Phong, VPbank, Military and Techcombank with documents to participate in the program with the registered amount of each bank being VND 5,000 billion, bringing the total number of 8 commercial banks participating with VND 140,000 billion.
Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman Ngo Tan Phuong assigned the Provincial State Bank to synthesize the recommendations and proposals of the investors and report to the SBV for consideration and settlement; continue to promote the implementation of the program, expand communication, introduce and advise clearly on mechanisms, policies, conditions, procedures and processes, so that investors and low-income employees have enough information and actively approach and borrow capital when in need.
He asked the province’s agencies and units to continue to effectively implement the resolutions and directions of the Government, the SBV, and the Provincial People's Committee related to the VND 120,000 billion program.
He further asked investors to publicly announce information of social housing projects for people to register for rent and purchase; grasp and fully understand information about the program.
