Delegation of press management officials from Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) visits and works at Bac Ninh Newspaper
(BNP) - On November 6, a delegation of press management officials from Lao PDR led by Mr. Olam Chan-tha-vi-lay, Head of Administration, Lao National Radio visited and worked at Bac Ninh Newspaper.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Truong Giang, Deputy Director of Academy of Journalism and Communication; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Publicity and Education Commission, the Department of Information and Communications, Bac Ninh Newspaper and the Provincial Journalists Association.
Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi emphasized that the close relationship between Vietnam and Laos was formed in the history of the two neighboring countries, with similarities and exchanges in economy, culture, society and politics.
In 2012, Bac Ninh province signed a Memorandum of Understanding on friendly cooperation with Huaphan province in Lao PDR in accordance with Party and State guidelines. At the same time, Bac Ninh province organized many high-ranking delegations to visit and work with the Huaphan provincial government, and vice versa.
On the other hand, Bac Ninh province provided funding for Huaphan province to build a school in Muong Xoi commune, Phonxay High School in Xam Neua district and a large hall in Huaphan province. It also donated numerous computers and scholarships for students to go to school as well as supported funding to organize training for many students of Huaphan province at the Bac Ninh Teacher Training College and Kinh Bac University.
This visit and work is an opportunity for the delegation to exchange and share information between Bac Ninh Newspaper and press agencies of the Lao PDR on management work, building organizational structures and apparatus, and effectively propagating public policies, thereby, meeting the requirements of press innovation and tasks in the new period.
At the meeting, the two sides exchanged and discussed some contents related to the organizational structure, operating model and results of public policy propaganda, propaganda of the Party and State guidelines, policies and laws, and the province’s policies to readers.
For his part, Mr. Olam Chan-tha-vi-lay expressed his respect and gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality of Bac Ninh province and Bac Ninh Newspaper to the delegation. The information and exchange on methods and practices in propaganda work, press management and practical visits to the working model and production of printed newspapers in Bac Ninh will be valuable lessons for the delegation so that they can apply appropriately to the reality at their agencies and units.
At the same time, he affirmed that this visit and work in Bac Ninh would contribute to strengthening solidarity, sharing, and professional exchange between the two countries’ press. It further nurtures the special friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
On this occasion, the delegation visited the Bac Ninh Newspaper Printing Factory, Dong Ho folk painting village and But Thap pagoda (Thuan Thanh town).
