In Luong Tai district, 42 households are currently breeding fish in river cages, primarily in Trung Kenh and An Thinh communes, with over 1,700 tons of fish, including grass carp, common carp, catfish, red tilapia, and others, ready for harvest.
The Department of Industry and Trade has proactively connected and provided information of fish farming organizations and individuals in Luong Tai district to enterprises, cooperatives, traders, seafood processing and trading businesses, and supermarket systems, trade centers, convenience stores, and distribution channels in the area to know and promote the consumption of fish, contributing to removing difficulties in input and output for farmers.
On the morning of September 14, nearly 10 businesses, small traders, and people gathered to sell about 10 tons of fish to cage fish farmers in Trung Kenh commune. However, due to the high flood water, transporting fish is still difficult.
In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to inform and connect with enterprises, cooperatives, traders, small traders processing and trading seafood, and enterprises and units providing industrial meals in the province to support and prioritize the consumption of fish products by organizations and individuals in Luong Tai district to promote consumption.
