(BNP) – Located on the south bank of Duong River, in the ancient land of "thousands of years of civilization" of Kinh Bac countryside, Mao Dien Doai village in Mao Dien commune, Thuan Thanh district contains many relics of historical and cultural value, typically the ancient communal house - an artistic architectural heritage.

Mao Dien Doai Communal House - the place to worship the Three Great Kings

Mao Dien Doai Communal House is a place to worship the Citadel of the Three Great Kings - those who passed the university and had many merits to help the country and people since the beginning of the Le Dynasty and the four post-gods who provided the land to build the communal house. Through the ups and downs of history, Mao Dien Doai communal house is still preserved quite intact with magnificent ancient architectures and many documents, relics and antiques of historical, cultural and artistic value.

At present, Mao Dien Doai communal house has an architecture of Chinese “Dinh” letter. The Great Hall consists of 9 compartments and 2 floors, with a length of 27m and a width of 9.4m. The female column system in the communal house is large and strong, with an average circumference of 1.40m. The paintings of the cone, the head, etc., are carefully decorated, stylized carvings of the four spirits and the four quarters. Inside the forbidden door is the palace connected to the front hall by a system of corners. Trung Dien truss in the style of gong rack, area 9m wide, 4m deep.

The value of the communal house is that up to now, it still preserves many precious documents and artifacts such as: divine genealogy, incense altar, worshiping temple, long communal house, diaphragm, palanquin, couplets, etc. All of the above antiques have not only spiritual and religious values but also typical historical - cultural value.

In 2009, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ranked Mao Dien Doai communal house as a national historical relic.
