Online conference held to remove difficulties for Industrial Parks

(BNP) - In the morning of September 20, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh chaired an online conference with 28 provinces and cities to iron out difficulties facing businesses at industrial parks, export processing zones, high-tech areas, and industrial clusters.

Participants at Bac Ninh’s venue were Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huong Giang; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dao Quang Khai; leaders of departments, sectors and businesses.

According the Ministry of Planning and Investment, localities and businesses are facing a lot of difficulties due to the pandemic. Many businesses are affected owning to the interrupted global supply chain or order cancelation.

At Bac Ninh, until now, 98.6% of businesses in industrial parks have returned to normal operations. In the first 6 months of 2021, Bac Ninh industrial parks reached high growth rate. Industrial production value reached 46% of the plan, increased 11% compared with same period; revenue reached 46% of the plan, up 4%.

On the basis of proposal from localities and businesses, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh suggested businesses proactively develop a plan to restore production, ensure safety for workers in pandemic prevention from production to circulation; coordinate with localities to agree on vaccination plans for workers, and carry out periodic testing as required.

He also assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment to synthesize the difficulties and problems of people and businesses to promptly solve important problems, especially, investment attraction. The Ministry of Transport shall make plans and guide traffic organization in accordance with the epidemic developments, ensuring the circulation of goods and raw materials for production.

Immediately after the conference, at Bac Ninh’venue, Chairwoman Giang said Bac Ninh has basically controlled the epidemic. Currently, Bac Ninh province is continuing to try to find the source of vaccines to inject for people and workers. Businesses must proactively take measures in responding to the epidemic, both to ensure the production and business activities, and to ensure the epidemic prevention and control.
