The Thong Nhat Social Housing Area at Le Thai To Street, Vo Cuong Ward, Bac Ninh City invested by Thong Nhat Trading and Development Investment Joint Stock Company has an area of 1,58 hectares, with a total investment capital of nearly VND 995 billion and a scale of 4 completed buildings put into use, providing 1.080 apartments and meeting the housing needs of about 4.000 people.

The project borrowed capital from the VND 120 trillion credit package for social housing development. Currently, about 430 households have received preferential loans from the Social Policy Bank with an average loan of VND 580 million/household and a total disbursed capital of VND 250 billion

According to a report from Bac Ninh province, the province has been implementing 54 social housing projects for low-income earners and housing for industrial park workers with a total land area of ​​about 173 hectares. When completed, the projects will provide more than 77,000 apartments, meeting the needs of about 231,000 people.

In addition, the implementation of the Project "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021-2030" approved by the Prime Minister, Bac Ninh province will develop 30.600 apartments in the period of 2021-2025 and 41.500 apartments in the period of 2026-2030.

Regarding the implementation of the VND 120 trillion credit package, the Provincial People's Committee has announced the list of eligible projects, preferential loan criteria, and reported to the Ministry of Construction and the State Bank of Vietnam 6 projects with a total investment of more than VND 14,500 billion and an expected loan of about VND 3,380 billion. Up to now, there are 2 social housing projects in the area that have received preferential loans with an approved loan limit of VND170 billion, of which VND170 billion has been disbursed.

Visiting and presenting gifts to households, PM Pham Minh Chinh was delighted with the spacious apartments and highly appreciated the efforts and approach of Bac Ninh province in implementing social housing projects. The Prime Minister stated that ensuring housing and settling down is an important factor in attracting human resources and labor, thereby strongly attracting investment for rapid and sustainable development, especially in a province with strong industrial development like Bac Ninh.

The Prime Minister emphasized: "Over the past time, the Government has paid great attention to the issue of housing for workers and employees with many policies and solutions to remove difficulties. On the other hand, the Government requested ministries, branches and localities to focus on removing obstacles and promoting the development of social housing. This is a major policy of the Party and State in ensuring social security and is an issue that people are very concerned about.

The Prime Minister requested Bac Ninh province to continue promoting the achieved results, actively and positively and effectively contributing with the whole country to implement the Project to build at least 1 million social housing apartments in the 2021-2030 period.
