Provincial Museum welcomes more than 52 thousand visitors

(BNP) – In the first 9 months of 2023, the Provincial Museum organized many display activities on the occasion of major holidays and anniversaries of the country as well as the province. As a result, these events attracted a large number of tourists to visit, study and research history and culture of the province.


Students of Van Duong Secondary School visit the thematic exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh with the Party committee and people of Bac Ninh”.

In the first 9 months of 2023, the Provincial Museum welcomed about 52,569 tourists from inside and outside the province to visit, research and experience. One of the outstanding activities was organizing a mobile exhibition outside the province at Vietnam Museum of Ethnology with the theme “Essence of Bac Ninh Quan ho culture”, introducing domestic and foreign tourists to the good traditional values ​​of Kinh Bac - Bac Ninh homeland and the Vietnamese people. Another one was mobile exhibition with the theme “Forever shining the example of Bac Ninh province’s revolutionary soldiers, who were imprisoned by the enemy during the resistance war against US imperialism” in Bac Ninh city and Que Vo town.

In addition, 02 thematic exhibitions were displayed at the Provincial Museum with the themes “Buddhist heritage of Bac Ninh province” and “President Ho Chi Minh with the Party committee and people of Bac Ninh”; over 100 documents and artifacts of Quan Ho cultural heritage were also exhibited at Bac Ninh Quan Ho Theater to serve activities of Festival program “Coming back to Quan ho land 2023” and welcome the Heads of foreign diplomatic representative agencies in Vietnam.

Moreover, experiential education activities attracted a large number of visitors with fascinating activities including printing Dong Ho paintings, polishing Phu Lang ceramics, making Dinh Bang lacquer paintings, grinding flour by using a stone mortar, making floating rice cakes, preparing drinks from fruits; folk games such as smashing pots, jumping across bamboo poles, painting statues, tug of war, and catching fish; as well as collective activities such as soldiers on the field, special forces soldiers, overcoming obstacles to the bridge...

Furthermore, 185 artifacts, 83 documents, and 49 images were collected for research and display; explanatory content was developed for the scientific topic “Research on the value, meaning and solution proposals to preserve and promote relics and places where President Ho Chi Minh visited and worked in Bac Ninh province”; the artifact “Molded pieces of Luy Lau bronze drum and others related to the bronze casting process” was collected with a total of 58 artifacts...
