Foreign Trade University is an institution that trains high-quality human resources for the country, but currently the school’s facilities and campuses at 3 campuses (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh) are still limited. It is expected that within the next 10 years, the scale of the entire school will continue to increase. Therefore, the establishment of a detailed plan as a basis for implementing the project to expand the training facilities of Foreign Trade University in Bac Ninh province is appropriate and necessary.
The detailed planning area of Foreign Trade University is located in Dong Nguyen ward, Tu Son city, with specific boundaries: the Northeast borders provincial road (PR) 287 and residential land belonging to the project being implemented; the Southwest borders PR 295; the Southeast borders PR 295C (project to build a road along the B2 canal) and the Northwest borders residential land belonging to the project being implemented. The area covers about 33.66ha, of which the project construction land is about 32.68ha.
The training scale is determined based on the Development Strategy of Foreign Trade University to 2030 with a vision to 2040. In which, phase I from 2026 - 2030, the total training target is about 5,500 students (excluding the number of staff and lecturers); phase II from 2030 - 2040, the total training target for full-time students and joint training is about 12,000 students (excluding the number of staff and lecturers).
Land use planning includes: Green land ratio; land for construction of teaching and learning areas; dormitory areas; service areas; technical areas and other supporting works, ensuring planning criteria according to construction standards, design standards of the University and current and future educational development trends.
