Training on inventory of intangible cultural heritage in 2023
(BNP) - On October 12, at Luy Lau Cultural Center (Thuan Thanh town), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a training conference on the inventory of intangible cultural heritage in Thuan Thanh town and Gia Binh district.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Cultural Heritage; Thuan Thanh town, Gia Binh district; Hanoi University of Culture and cultural officials from 32 communes, wards and townships in Thuan Thanh town and Gia Binh district.
Currently, the province has 04 Heritage inscribed by UNESCO (Quan ho folk songs, Ca tru, Practices related to the Viet Beliefs in the Mother Goddesses of Three Realms and Tug of War games and rituals); and 08 National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The inventory of intangible cultural heritage in the province for the period of 2023-2025 is an essential task to identify, determine value, evaluate the current situation, document and supplement the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage, thereby, proposing to advise authorities at all levels on plans to protect the Heritage, avoid the situation of heritage change, loss of heritage, or even disappearance of heritage from the community. Besides, the inventory process also contributes to raising community awareness and promoting its role as a cultural subject in heritage conservation in the province.
At the training class, experts from the Department of Cultural Heritage and Hanoi University of Culture provided and equipped with contents related to management, conservation and promotion of Heritage; as well as identification and classification of Intangible Cultural Heritage, artisans and communities. They also provided guidance on methods, processes and techniques for inventorying Heritage; interviewing and recording techniques in inventorying Intangible Cultural Heritage; and practicing filling in inventory forms; as well as the delegates were guided on implementing an inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage at the local level...
The training class aims to help delegates improve their awareness and ability to identify and determine the historical, cultural, scientific value, and current status of Intangible Cultural Heritage that is being practiced, maintained, and taught in villages and residential areas.
