Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi presents gifts to children in Dau Han quarter on occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival
(BNP) - On the afternoon of September 16, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association jointly presented gifts for children on the occasion of the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival at Dau Han quarter, Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city.

Attending and presenting gifts were Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association and Bac Ninh city.
Due to the impact of typhoon No. 3, the water level of the Cau river in the Dau Han quarter exceeded the warning level No. 3, posing a risk of the dike overflowing. From September 10 to 12, relevant units closely monitored the progress of floods and rains, prepared to respond to situations according to the "4 on-site" principle, evacuated more than 350 households with about 1,600 people and moved assets to a safe place, urgently completed the construction of the dike to prevent the dike from overflowing, arranged accommodation and ensured essential conditions for the people. Up to now, the water on the Cau river has receded, and the lives of people in the Dau Han quarter have gradually returned to normal.
Vice Chairman Le Xuan Loi and delegates presented moon cakes to 370 children, encouraged officials and people of Dau Han quarter to overcome difficulties caused by typhoon and floods, quickly stabilize their lives, restore production, and organize a warm and joyful Mid-Autumn Festival for children.
On this occasion, the Provincial Children's Support Fund presented 30 gifts to 30 poor children in difficult circumstances, each gift worth VND 600,000 in cash.
This is one of the activities organized by the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024 to support children affected by typhoon and floods.
