Vice Chairman Ngo Tan Phuong thanked the Consulate General of Vietnam in Nanning, China for the sincere welcome when the delegation came to China according to the invitation of the People’s Committee of Nanning city to attend the China – ASEAN Expo and sign a memorandum of understanding of establishing a cooperation discussion mechanism.

Phuong briefed on Bac Ninh province’s significant achievements of socio-economic development with many indicators among the top in the country in recent years. With a favorable geo-economic and political location as well as attractive preferential investment policies, up to now, Bac Ninh has become a shining point in foreign investment attraction with nearly 2.000 valid FDI projects totaling registered investment capital of about USD 24,4 billion from 39 countries and territories… Among which, China has 444 projects with a total capital of USD 950 million.

Sharing the orientation of investment attraction in the upcoming time, Phuong hoped that the Consulate General would be a bridge to promote and encourage Chinese enterprises to research investment in Bac Ninh province, especially the fields which are in Bac Ninh province's orientation of attracting and coordinating foreign investment as well as the strengths of Chinese enterprises such as high-tech agriculture; technology, digital transformation; smart urban; semiconductor materials, renewable energy; infrastructure, green economy, tourism...

Overview of the working session.

The Consulate General further assists the province in implementing information exchange activities and promoting the distinctive cultural values, heritages and famous tourist destinations to the Chinese people. Initially, it supports Bac Ninh province in promoting and introducing Dong Ho folk paintings to a large number of Chinese people so that UNESCO can recognize the technique of making Dong Ho folk paintings as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in urgent need of human protection.

At the same time, the Consulate General pays attention, helps and creates favorable conditions for Bac Ninh community in Nanning to live, study and work peacefully so that they can contribute to the locality’s socio-economic development.

The Consul General of Vietnam in Nanning, China Do Nam Trung highly appreciated and congratulated Bac Ninh province on economic development, making an important contribution to the general development of Vietnam. Bac Ninh is a destination attracting numerous leading corporations and enterprises in the world, including many Chinese enterprises, he stated.

In the context that Vietnam and China are deepening reform and opening up along with the outstanding advantages of Bac Ninh province and the economic potential, technology, and development experience of Nanning city, the Consul General believed that the establishment of friendly city relations between Bac Ninh city and Nanning city as well as the establishment of a cooperation discussion mechanism between two provinces would be important activities, expanding the opportunities to cooperate in the fields with great potential such as economics.

The Consul General affirmed that, in his position, he would actively promote and introduce the image of Bac Ninh province as well as connect and recommend Chinese enterprises to visit and research the investment environment in Bac Ninh province.
