(BNP) - The President of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) recently signed Decision No. 168/QD-TT to recognize typical cooperatives and present the 2026 "CoopStar Awards" to 50 outstanding cooperatives nationwide.
Providing livestock breeds and animal products is the core business of the Lua Vang General Service and Agricultural Production Cooperative (Dong Viet commune).
Among the awardees, Bac Ninh province had two units recognized as national typical cooperatives and winners of the 2026 "CoopStar Awards": Lua Vang General Service and Agricultural Production Cooperative (Dong Viet commune) and Noi Thanh Transport and Trading Cooperative (Bac Giang ward).
The two honored cooperatives from Bac Ninh were not only significant contributors to local socio-economic development but also pioneered in value-chain production. They had excelled in applying scientific and technological advances, fostering innovation and digital transformation to enhance production efficiency and improve the livelihoods of their members and employees.
Winners of the CoopStar Awards would be granted a certificate of merit and the 2026 CoopStar Trophy by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance.
Organized annually since 2024, the "CoopStar Awards" aimed to recognize and honor cooperatives and cooperative unions with exceptional achievements in production and business contributing positively to local socio-economic growth. Furthermore, the awards helped build brand identity and enhance the image of cooperatives during the process of development and international integration, promoting a fast and sustainable cooperative model./.
