Bac Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee receives international aid from Australian Government

(BNP) - On the night of October 14, at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province to receive emergency international aid from the Australian Government through the Australian Embassy in Vietnam for Bac Ninh people affected by storms and floods.

The leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee receive emergency international aid from the Australian Government through the Australian Embassy in Vietnam and the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention and Control.

The Australian Government's emergency aid to the people of Bac Ninh includes 18 tons of goods, including: 320 kitchenware sets, 756 hygiene kits, 756 home repair kits, and 300 blankets.

At the aid handover ceremony, Ms. Renee Jean Deschamps, Deputy Ambassador of Australia to Vietnam, expressed her deep sympathy to the Government and people of Vietnam for the losses and damages caused by the recent floods, especially in the Northern and North Central regions.

Deputy Director of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Nguyen Truong Son and Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province Thai Hai Anh expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the valuable support of the Australian Government and people.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Thai Hai Anh expressed sincere and deep gratitude from the provincial leaders and people of Bac Ninh to the Australian Government and people, and the Australian Embassy in Vietnam for their timely and practical attention and support to the local people affected by natural disasters. He affirmed that the daily living kits, home repair kits and blankets presented today are not only materially meaningful but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, demonstrating the friendship and close cooperation between Vietnam and Australia.
