(BNP) - On the morning of December 26th, at the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son chaired a working session with the Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation (VIC) on regarding the investment plan for the Noi Bai - Bac Ninh - Pha Lai expressway.

At the meeting, representatives from the Vietnam Expressway Development Corporation reported that, according to the Prime Minister's approved Road Network Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the Noi Bai - Bac Ninh - Hai Duong (now Pha Lai, Hai Phong city) expressway has a total length of approximately 52 km, a cross-section of 6 lanes, and investment is scheduled to begin before 2030.

The Corporation proposed an investment plan for the Noi Bai - Bac Ninh - Pha Lai expressway, which begins at Km0+000 at the intersection of the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway and Ring Road 4 - Hanoi Capital Region and ends at Km51+750 at the intersection with National Highway 18, in Dao Vien ward, Bac Ninh province.
During the meeting, leaders from various departments, agencies, and localities exchanged and contributed opinions on several issues related to the highway's route; the project's investment model; the local government's ability to allocate resources for project implementation; and the highway's impact on the socio-economic development of localities within the province.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman Pham Hoang Son agreed in principle to invest in the Noi Bai - Bac Ninh - Pha Lai expressway. He agreed with the principle of joint efforts between the State and the people.
The Chairman instructed the Provincial People's Committee Office to coordinate with the Department of Construction to issue a document notifying the conclusion and approving the investment policy for the project, so that the Corporation has a basis for in-depth research and implementation.
The comrade also requested that the Vietnam Expressway Development Corporation work closely with relevant provincial departments, agencies, and localities to research and propose the most appropriate and optimal implementation plan, ensuring that the project is completed as soon as possible and contributing to Bac Ninh province's socioeconomic development.
