(BNP) - On the morning of October 3, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan visited and presented gifts to children and people affected by floods in Van Ha ward. Joining the delegation were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi; Colonel Pham Van Tao, Commander of the Provincial Military Command; and representatives from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment.

This locality was severely flooded and isolated due to the impact of Storm No. 10 (BUALOI), with water levels rising from 0.3 to 1 meter, inundating 103 households with a total of 404 residents, and causing damage to 7 hectares of rice and crops.

The Chairman noted that the Tam Giang commune government must regularly monitor, not be subjective or negligent; organize patrols and inspections, promptly detect and handle early and remotely any potential incidents that may occur.
Departments, branches and functional units continue to review damage, focus on mobilizing means, human resources and machinery to speed up work to help people overcome damage and stabilize their lives, Tuan added.
