(BNP) - On the morning of May 19, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son attended the Party Badge Award Ceremony for the May 19, 2026 phase for party members belonging to the Party Committee of Bac Giang ward.

At the ceremony, the Bac Giang Ward Party Committee announced the Decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee regarding the awarding and posthumous awarding of Party Badges for the May 19, 2026 phase. Accordingly, the Bac Giang Ward Party Committee had 128 party members awarded or posthumously awarded Party Badges; including 01 comrade awarded the 70-year Party membership badge; 04 comrades awarded the 65-year Party membership badge; 09 comrades awarded the 60-year Party membership badge; 09 comrades awarded the 55-year Party membership badge; 05 comrades awarded the 50-year Party membership badge; 37 comrades awarded the 45-year Party membership badge; 37 comrades awarded the 40-year Party membership badge; and 25 comrades awarded the 30-year Party membership badge.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son sent wishes for health and happiness to the elderly party members, their families, and all officials and party members of Bac Giang ward; at the same time, he affirmed that the Party Badge was a noble reward from the Party, recognizing the process of striving, training, and dedication of each party member to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
He emphasized that the party members receiving the Party Badges were exemplary role models always maintaining their revolutionary qualities and remaining steadfast in the goals and ideals of the Party; they were the pride of the Party organization, their families, and the locality.
Informing about the socio-economic development of the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated that after the merger of the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang into the new Bac Ninh province, the locality continued to maintain a positive growth momentum. In 2025, the province's GRDP increased by 10.27%, ranking among the localities with double-digit growth in the country; budget revenue reached over 76,000 billion VND. Notably, the province's export value for the first time exceeded Ho Chi Minh City, bringing Bac Ninh up to second in the country. Foreign investment attraction reached about 5.7 billion USD, leading the nation.
In the first 4 months of 2026, the provincial economy continued to maintain its growth momentum with GRDP increasing by 9.82%; the scale of the economy reached about 530,000 billion VND, equivalent to 21 billion USD. Total import-export turnover reached about 64 billion USD, an increase of 32% over the same period; budget revenue reached nearly 45,000 billion VND, equivalent to nearly 60% of the annual estimate.

According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, to maintain the goal of double-digit growth in the coming years, the province was focusing on implementing many key tasks, including the Gia Binh airport project and the connecting infrastructure system. This was identified as a strategic development driver, creating new growth space for the locality. Therefore, the province was striving to accelerate land clearance and the relocation of households to serve the project; at the same time, he emphasized the important role of consensus from officials, party members, and the people during the implementation process.
For Bac Giang ward, the political and administrative center of the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the locality to focus on improving the quality of urban development in a modern and synchronous direction; pay attention to developing trade, services, public infrastructure, and improving the quality of life for residents.

He believed that with its central location, large population size, and solid historical and cultural foundation, Bac Giang Ward had much potential for development. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that Bac Giang Ward should clearly identify new growth drivers, strongly develop high-quality trade and service industries, logistics, finance, and banking; avoid developing in a direction based solely on real estate or becoming a simple administrative urban area.
Besides the socio-economic development tasks, he requested the local party committees and authorities to continue strengthening Party building work; uphold the principle of democratic centralism; promote self-criticism and criticism; and consolidate solidarity and unity within the political system.
He also expressed his hope that the veteran party members would continue to promote their exemplary roles, being a solid spiritual support in their families and the community; pay attention to educating the younger generation, contributing to building a clean and strong Party Committee that meets the development requirements in the new period./.
