(BNP) - On the morning of May 13, the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026–2031 term concluded at the National Convention Center in Hanoi. The closing session was chaired by Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, along with members of the Congress Presidium.

Taking place over three days (from May 11th to 13th), the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, for the term 2026-2031, is a significant socio-political event, a historical milestone, marking the beginning of a new operational term and a new path of development as socio-political organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State are placed under the direct control of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
During the working session, the Congress heard a summary report of the opinions and discussions at the Congress; a report on the results of the first meeting of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 11th term, 2026-2031; and adopted the revised and supplemented Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Congress Resolution.

At the session, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026–2031 term was introduced to the Congress, comprising 70 members. Among them, 12 members were elected by consensus to the Standing Committee, assuming the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman–General Secretary, and Vice Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026–2031 term. In addition, eight members were elected by consensus as non-specialized Vice Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the same term.
